I am very busy working behind the scenes getting everyone’s orders finalised before Christmas, which is approaching very quickly!  For all my Christmas mini session clients, I will be sending your orders to your door with my courier late this week.

I thought I would share some images from one of my Christmas mini sessions.  This is the first time I have offered mini sessions and I have to say they were a resounding success!  I am considering doing another round of mini sessions, perhaps in Autumn next year.  Spaces will be limited so I am starting a wait list for anyone who is interested in a mini session and I will be sending the details to those on the list first.  Please email at info@amandaayling.com.au if you would like to be added to the list.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of photographing the Walker family and what a gorgeous family they are!

Have you checked out Little One Baby Magazine?  It is just gorgeous – filled with beautiful ideas for decorating your baby’s nursery, hosting a fabulous baby shower or child’s birthday party and dressing your children in style! I was asked to photograph a very special family for a feature in their latest edition titled “My Little Miracle”.  You can read about miracle Mum, Tuyen, who fell pregnant with adorable baby Alexandria-Mai against all medical odds after a battle with lymphoma on page 38.

It is hard to believe that it is nearly Christmas again!  This year I have decided to offer some Christmas mini sessions for the very first time.  This is a great way to get a few updated portraits without committing to the time and expense of a full session.  These sessions are suitable for families of up to 5 people with children over the age of four months as well as pregnant couples or even couples in love. After your session you will be able to choose your prints and a digital file to make your own Christmas cards.  Sessions will be held in the gorgeous late afternoon light.  Time slots are very limited so please contact as soon as you can to secure your spot!

I have donated an auction prize to Hear the Children, a charitable organization that gives Hearing Impaired babies and preschoolers the miraculous gift of speech. The prize is a fabulous portrait package valued at $1500 and can be used for newborn, child or family portraits.  The package is up for auction at a trivia night to be held on the 1st of July so why not come along and support this great event!

After two postponements due to bad weather we finally had a beautiful day for this family’s portrait session.  This is the second time I have photographed this gorgeous family with the first one being for Amelia’s newborn portraits.  I always enjoy this family’s company as they are so down to earth and friendly.  Matt & Jane, thanks so much for choosing me to capture this moment in your lives, it really was a pleasure….

It’s been a while since I posted some updated photos of my girls.  I found this lovely location just 5 minutes down the road from where I live. I have made three of these images into some gorgeous canvas art for my home.  I will take a photo of the wall and some stage to show how they look on display!

I recently did another commercial shoot for children’s label Kaftan Kids.  They have just introduced some gorgeous new designs including an adorable baby kaftan that comes with matching bloomers.  The kaftans look so cute on our beautiful models!

I would like to thank all my wonderful clients for choosing me this past year to capture your family portraits.  I wish you all a safe & happy Christmas and New Year.  I will be on leave from the 24th December to the 9th January and all phone calls and emails will be returned after this date.  I will leave you with a collage showing some of the newborns, children, couples & families I have photographed during 2010.

I recently spent a wonderful afternoon photographing this gorgeous family of six.  There was so much love shown between everyone in this family and they were so full of energy and fun!  I also LOVE doing “couple shots” as part of a family session.  So when I found out that Lana & Niel were very interested in having some portraits of just the two of them I was a happy photographer!  These b&w couple shots are some of my all time favourite images. Lana & Niel, thanks so much for inviting me to capture this moment in your life, it was truly an honour.
