The sparkly red shoes {Child photographer Sydney}

I found a willing little model today, eager to have her new sparkly red shoes photographed (for all of five minutes). I cannot tell you how much joy these shoes have given Amelie. They have barely left her feet since we bought them last weekend!

And of course I couldn’t forget my ever willing model (within reason) who is growing up so very fast….

My girls are the reason why I developed my hobby of photography into a business. They help me find the inspiration and passion I have for my work everyday.

It seems that our “baby” girl is, well, not a baby anymore. Amelie turned four last week and we celebrated with a party on the weekend. She had been anticipating and planning her party for months right down to the colour scheme (pink), theme (Tinkerbell), cake (chocolate), gifts (Barbies and more Barbies), games…she planned it all! Here is a shot of her waiting for her guests to arrive. I wanted to take some photos of her before the party (and the mess) started but she could get her eyes off the back door in case one of her friends walked through. I will post some more shots of the actual party (she had a ball) later in the week as I really must get back to editing some clients images….

Pretty in Pink {Child Photography, Sydney}

A few days ago I met up with fellow photographer for a photo session. I brought my eldest daughter along and Sam provided her four gorgeous kids as models. We had a great afternoon with the kids all getting along famously. Here is Miss S looking very pretty in pink, what a cutie she is….

Georgia’s Birthday {Children’s Photographer in Sydney}

It was Georgia’s 7th birthday on the weekend and we had a great party with all her friends. We had some heavy downpours of rain during the party but luckily we had organised for Fairy Belle from Fly by Fairies to fly in and entertain the kids. She was just wonderful, she had the kids enthralled the whole time, even the boys loved her! It allowed us to sit back and enjoy the party instead of running around organising entertainment.

We are so proud to have Georgia as our daughter, she is a kind, generous and loving soul. Happy Birthday sweetie…we love you!

Haircut {Children’s Photographer in Sydney}

For the past week I have been noticing that Amelie has some new “short bits” of hair around her face and there seemed to be more and m0re of them each day. Her hair had been all one length and past her shoulders for a while but now I was starting to have trouble putting her hair up into a ponytail! I was getting worried that something was causing her hair to be brittle. I pointed this out to my husband a few days ago explaining my concern and Amelie just stood there with a poker face. Well, the penny finally dropped yesterday when I saw her coming out of the cubby house with a lock of her hair in her hand. I went in there for the first time in about a week and discovered a nice pile of clippings on the desk and floor next to a pair of kid’s safety scissors!! It seems that she had been going in there each day and giving herself a bit more of a haircut If she had done it in the house I would have noticed straight away but I try and avoid going in the cubby house as this is their “messy” place where they can do all the stuff I won’t let them do inside and I hate looking at the mess. We have had a good laugh about it all now, something to tell her about when she gets older! We have an appointment at the hairdressers after school today to see what we can do about it

It was my daughter Amelie’s turn for some photos on Saturday. She is very “three” at the moment so there is only so much photography she will tolerate but I still managed to sneak some lovely shots.

And here is a bit of sisterly love, I love this photo. It might just end up *big* in our living room…..
