Pure Sunshine {Sydney Children’s Photographer}

You may remember Allegra from her recent “Day in the Life” session. Well her Mum, Kate, was thrilled with the results of the session and wanted to get even more shots for this secret project she is working on as a surprise for her husband. So I happily agreed to spend another afternoon with Allegra having fun at her local park and enjoying a tea party.

I think I was destined to meet Kate as we seem to be on the same wavelength with all things photography. Also, I didn’t mention this before but when I arrived at Kate’s house for the first time I had this feeling of deja vu rush over me. Ten years ago my husband and I had some ballroom dance lessons in preparation for our wedding. Well the lessons were held in a studio in Kate’s house where the previous owners held dance lessons. Kate and her husband purchased the house soon after. What a coincidence is that?

Lets just say that Allegra LOVES cupcakes, I lost count of how many times she said “Cake!” during the session Although, she did not appreciate the big lollipop her Mum had for her, that got tossed in the dirt! Allegra has such a big personality and a great sense of humour. She is pure sunshine…

Model Call for Newborns {Baby Photography, Sydney}

I now have a great natural light studio space that is perfect for photographing one of my favourite subjects – newborns. I have many creative ideas I would like to try and am looking for newborn models due to arrive from late July to September. Models must be between 3 and 10 days of age when photographed so you will need to contact me while you are still pregnant so I can pencil you into my schedule. Sessions would be complimentary and each model will also receive two beautifully matted 8×10″ prints. Sessions would be held in my studio located in the Hills District of Sydney. Here is a sneak peek of some commercial photography I am working on for Princess Ratbag. I love using my girls as models for commercial photography assignments as it is a good excuse to take some more shots of my two favourite subjects! It is also nice to open up a glossy mag and see a beautiful photograph of one of my girls in there, something to keep for them when they are older. Princess Ratbag make the most gorgeous pettiskirts made with layers of luxurious fabric and ribbon. I have a collection of these pettiskirts available for client sessions. James & Ruby {Sydney baby photographer}

The kids went back to school today so now it is time to catch up on some work! This session was held on a very hot day where temperatures reached 43 degrees in parts of Sydney. Fortunately are our session was held by the water with a lovely sea breeze so we managed just fine. Meet James & his little sister Ruby, aren’t they gorgeous?

Tiny Sneak Peek {Sydney Children’s Photographer}

Here is a tiny sneak peek for my very patient clients from a session I held a few days ago. Little Ruby is one of the most beautiful little girls I have photographed. I fell in love with her beautiful brown eyes, dark silky hair and porcelain skin. Her brother is gorgeous too, wait till you see him! Just one shot to post today but I promise a much bigger sneak peek to follow soon….

The sparkly red shoes {Child photographer Sydney}

I found a willing little model today, eager to have her new sparkly red shoes photographed (for all of five minutes). I cannot tell you how much joy these shoes have given Amelie. They have barely left her feet since we bought them last weekend!

And of course I couldn’t forget my ever willing model (within reason) who is growing up so very fast….

My girls are the reason why I developed my hobby of photography into a business. They help me find the inspiration and passion I have for my work everyday.

I am now back into the swing of things after an enjoyable Xmas break! I had my first session a few days ago with this lovely family in a beautiful Aussie bush location. I have met this family through Amelie’s preschool so it was great to start off the session on some familiar ground. Now, I often get asked by my clients, what should we wear? Well I have an example for you as this Mum did a great job choosing outfits. Coordinated but not “matching” with no bold clashing patterns is the key……and don’t they make such a beautiful family?

Jasper {Sydney Baby Photographer}

Here is a sneak peek from my recent session with Jasper. This gorgeous little boy is such a bundle of energy & joy! When he smiles that big gummy smile his whole face literally lights up and his eyes sparkle His Mum & Dad requested a casual & relaxed session in their own back garden which was perfect!

This teddy bear belonged to Jasper’s Dad when he was a baby! I love including special items like this into a photo session….
