Here are some shots from my recent commercial shoot for a new children’s range, Kaftan Kids. These gorgeous Kaftans come in the most amazing range of fabrics and colours. When Kate first contacted me to ask me to do a “Day in the Life” session with her little girl, Allegra, I was excited. This is something I had been wanting to try for a while but had never had a client request it before. Not only that, Kate spoke such beautiful words about how much she values photography and wants to capture every moment as Allegra is growing up so quickly. Here was a woman after my own heart! Kate wanted to capture all of Allegra’s daily activities and favourites things to do including dancing, talking on the phone, trying on shoes, taking a bubble bath, eating and playing outside. So with the help of Kate’s magnificent supply of gorgeous outfits for Allegra and her fabulous attention to detail, we did just that. These images are going to be used by Kate to create a special surprise for her husband’s upcoming birthday. She assures me he doesn’t spend his time looking at photography blogs so it was ok to post some of the images here!

Allegra has such a sweet personality, she was so much fun and full of energy. This is a big sneak peek as I spent most of the day with her…..

Kate, thank you so much for asking me to do document this stage in Allegra’s life!

I have been a very bad blogger of late as things have been a bit crazy in the Ayling household. We put our house on the market which was a very stressful time of last minute repairs, gardening, de-cluttering & cleaning. We had so many people looking through the home it was hard for me to get any work done! In any case, I hope to now start catching up on some blogging. I have just finished editing this families’ images and I just loved so many of them I thought I would put a few more faves up….

Here is a sneak peek from my session with a lovely family I met on the weekend. Little Alex was so adorable and at my favourite age for photographing babies (in the 6 to 12 month age range). And he was just so easy going throughout the whole session! Big sister Jessica wasn’t too thrilled about having her photos taken at first but as you can see from the images below, she soon got over that and started to enjoy herself. I think she liked that lollipop I gave her a bit too much, it didn’t leave her hand for the rest of the session

Louise & Darren, it was great to meet you. Don’t worry, we got some great shots…. there are a lot more to show you in your gallery!
