Pure Sunshine {Sydney Children’s Photographer}

You may remember Allegra from her recent “Day in the Life” session. Well her Mum, Kate, was thrilled with the results of the session and wanted to get even more shots for this secret project she is working on as a surprise for her husband. So I happily agreed to spend another afternoon with Allegra having fun at her local park and enjoying a tea party.

I think I was destined to meet Kate as we seem to be on the same wavelength with all things photography. Also, I didn’t mention this before but when I arrived at Kate’s house for the first time I had this feeling of deja vu rush over me. Ten years ago my husband and I had some ballroom dance lessons in preparation for our wedding. Well the lessons were held in a studio in Kate’s house where the previous owners held dance lessons. Kate and her husband purchased the house soon after. What a coincidence is that?

Lets just say that Allegra LOVES cupcakes, I lost count of how many times she said “Cake!” during the session Although, she did not appreciate the big lollipop her Mum had for her, that got tossed in the dirt! Allegra has such a big personality and a great sense of humour. She is pure sunshine…

Model Call for Newborns {Baby Photography, Sydney}

I now have a great natural light studio space that is perfect for photographing one of my favourite subjects – newborns. I have many creative ideas I would like to try and am looking for newborn models due to arrive from late July to September. Models must be between 3 and 10 days of age when photographed so you will need to contact me while you are still pregnant so I can pencil you into my schedule. Sessions would be complimentary and each model will also receive two beautifully matted 8×10″ prints. Sessions would be held in my studio located in the Hills District of Sydney. A day with Allegra {Sydney Children’s Photographer}

When Kate first contacted me to ask me to do a “Day in the Life” session with her little girl, Allegra, I was excited. This is something I had been wanting to try for a while but had never had a client request it before. Not only that, Kate spoke such beautiful words about how much she values photography and wants to capture every moment as Allegra is growing up so quickly. Here was a woman after my own heart! Kate wanted to capture all of Allegra’s daily activities and favourites things to do including dancing, talking on the phone, trying on shoes, taking a bubble bath, eating and playing outside. So with the help of Kate’s magnificent supply of gorgeous outfits for Allegra and her fabulous attention to detail, we did just that. These images are going to be used by Kate to create a special surprise for her husband’s upcoming birthday. She assures me he doesn’t spend his time looking at photography blogs so it was ok to post some of the images here!

Allegra has such a sweet personality, she was so much fun and full of energy. This is a big sneak peek as I spent most of the day with her…..

Kate, thank you so much for asking me to do document this stage in Allegra’s life!

First session of the year! {Sydney Children’s Photographer}

I am now back into the swing of things after an enjoyable Xmas break! I had my first session a few days ago with this lovely family in a beautiful Aussie bush location. I have met this family through Amelie’s preschool so it was great to start off the session on some familiar ground. Now, I often get asked by my clients, what should we wear? Well I have an example for you as this Mum did a great job choosing outfits. Coordinated but not “matching” with no bold clashing patterns is the key……and don’t they make such a beautiful family?

One of my images was used as a full page ad for Princess Ratbag in the launch edition of Peekaboo Magazine, a cool new Brisbane based magazine. Here is the front cover of the mag….

When I opened up my copy, I was excited to see my image prominently displayed on page 2….

Princess Ratbag pettiskirts are just divine with each one being made with over 7 metres of luxurious fabric. I have them in a variety of different sizes & styles for use in photo sessions.

I spent a lovely afternoon in the company of this beautiful family on the weekend. Alannah is a very sweet little girl and I loved getting to know her. After spending time with her parents, I can tell where she gets her personality from as they are two of the warmest, friendliest and most relaxed clients I have ever had!

Alannah kept herself very busy, blowing kisses, playing with rose petals & hanging out with Mum & Dad.

And I just had to get some shots of this beautiful couple….
